Amsterdam Light Festival

Amsterdam Light Festival is one of the most photogenic events of the winter season.

We share the Amsterdam Light Festival because it turns the city into a canvas of light. Offering photographers light art as inspiration to capture night, reflection, and creativity in one place.

Each year, the Amsterdam Light Festival transforms the city with large-scale light artworks installed along the canals and in public spaces. For photographers, it offers a chance to work with night exposures, experiment with reflections on water, and capture temporary installations against the backdrop of Amsterdam’s architecture.

2025–2026 edition

The festival runs from 27 November 2025 to 18 January 2026. Details of the artworks and routes can be found on the official site: amsterdamlightfestival.com.
