Educational director Megan Alter will be hosting a new training series this year titled ‘Darkroom’. Do you agree that there are things talked about in artistic circles that people don’t often speak about or understand in other settings?
Darkroom recognizes the need for photographers to be supported artistically, learning the creative process and the importance of having a supportive community and continued learning in the creative field.
The sessions bring together photographers to speak and share ideas. There will be a short presentation about different fields in photography, followed by a photography assignment and a photo review of the work the following month. The sessions will take place through live Zoom sessions in a small group.
In these events, Megan Alter will talk about the artist process she has taught to her students for over a decade. This short presentation will be coupled with an exercise based on the “success group” theory.
