Amsterdam’s Christmas Tree

This week it was time again for Amsterdam’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Dam square. This year, the Christmas tree comes from Eifel in Germany. This annual event is a majestic view to photograph centered in front of the Royal Palace.

The tree is grown in the German ardennes, reaches 20 meters up in the Amsterdam skyline and is decorated with 40.000 lights. In addition, the  Bijenkorf building is also beautifully decorated together with the square’s lamp posts. Making the square an attractive Amsterdam highlight every festive season.
