Urban Photo Race 2017

Urban Photo Race event comes back this spring, bringing Rotterdam as a third city (after Amsterdam and Berlin) onto its map!

During this truly original, one-day digital photo competition, photographers are asked to capture a set of 18 photos divided into 6 themes while they walk, bike, or tram through the city. Part treasure hunt, part photojournalism, the Urban Photo Race invites participants to look at the city in a different way, discover new places, and meet other urban savvy photographers while using their creativity to interpret and translate different themes into photographs. Get prepared by practicing for a successful outcome and don’t forget to check out the winners of previous years to get inspired!

A new city this year means whole new photo opportunities and yet another day for you to live the UPR experience. UPR Rotterdam has been in the making for a while and we’re very proud to roll it out this year. It’s not for nothing that we’ve selected Rotterdam as our next event hosting city. This is a fast pace, bustling modern city with many great street photography opportunities. We’re very excited and curious about the photographic outcome of this new venture.

We invite you to join us on Saturday May 13th, 2017, in Rotterdam and Saturday June 10th, 2017, in Amsterdam to participate and share this new experience in this exciting 12 hour race against the clock photo competition.

Where to sign up?

Photographers of all backgrounds and levels can register through the website or social media up to the race day or at the first checkpoint on the race day itself.

If you choose to sign up now, you still get the early-bird ticket price [* by 24th February (Rotterdam) and 10th March (Amsterdam)].

See you at the start line!
